What is Reclaimed Rain Studios?

Reclaimed Rain Studios is a Bay Area-based sustainable fashion studio specializing in upcycled clothing, clothing alterations, and custom embroidery. We create one-of-a-kind pieces from ethically sourced secondhand garments and textiles while helping customers extend the life of the clothing they already own.

What makes your clothing sustainable?

We focus on reusing existing materials whenever possible. By sourcing secondhand garments and pre-loved fabrics, we reduce textile waste and give clothing a second life through thoughtful design and craftsmanship.

Where are you located?

Upcycled Clothing

What does “upcycled” mean?

Upcycling is the process of transforming existing garments or materials into something new and unique. Instead of producing new fabric, we redesign and reconstruct pre-existing textiles.

Are your pieces one-of-a-kind?

Yes. Most of our upcycled garments are made in very limited quantities or as one-of-one pieces. Due to the nature of secondhand materials, exact duplicates are rarely available.

Where do you source your materials?

We ethically source clothing and textiles from thrift stores, secondhand shops, vintage suppliers, estate sales, and textile recovery sources whenever possible.

Will you restock sold-out items?

Because many pieces are created from unique materials, exact restocks are generally not possible. Similar designs may be released in future collections.

 

 

Alterations

What alteration services do you offer?

We currently offer:

  • Hemming

  • Tapering

  • Waist adjustments

  • Taking in tops and bottoms

  • Basic garment repairs

  • Other minor alterations on a case-by-case basis

How do I request an alteration?

Submit an inquiry through our contact form with details about your garment and the services needed. Photos are encouraged.

How long do alterations take?

Turnaround times vary depending on the project. Most standard alterations are completed within 1 to 2 weeks.

Do you alter garments not purchased from Reclaimed Rain Studios?

Yes. We welcome alteration requests for garments from any brand.

 

 

Custom Embroidery

What embroidery services do you offer?

We offer custom embroidery on clothing and accessories, including names, initials, logos, artwork, and personalized designs.

What items can be embroidered?

We can embroider many types of garments and accessories, including:

  • Sweatshirts

  • Pants

  • Hats

  • Tote bags

  • Socks

Can I provide my own garment?

Yes. Customers may provide eligible garments for embroidery services.

Do you offer logo embroidery for small businesses?

Can I return a custom or altered item?

Because altered, embroidered, and custom-made items are personalized, these items are generally final sale unless there is an error in workmanship.

How should I care for my garment?

We recommend washing garments in cold water, avoiding harsh detergents, and air drying whenever possible to extend the life of the fabric and embroidery.
